Those who know my secret heart know that I’ve always wanted to be a model. This is a step toward achieving my dream. The show will be on Friday, 13 April, at 2pm and 8pm, in the UIC Forum. It’s free and open to the public; come support me!
Despite being involved (and having already attended a few rehearsals), I actually don’t know that much about the show. Here’s what it says at the/a website:
The UIC Fashion Show has been dazzling audiences for over 20 years now. Be a part of the largest student-produced event on campus! More than 2,000 students, faculty and visitors attend the show every year. In the past, many Chicago retailers and boutiques have participated, including Old Navy, Presence, Diesel, Noir, Strawberry, Modern Tuxedo, and Untitled. Past corporate sponsors have included MAC Cosmetics and Southwest Airlines.
And there are some clips from previous shows up at YouTube, but be careful they’re really sexy.
This year, there will be 16 scenes; I’m in four of them, plus the opener and the closer. It’s mostly runway walking with some limited choreography.
Incidentally, I’m looking to do more fashion modeling, if anyone who reads this can hook me up with that. (Thanks!)
