I’ve been waiting for just this post from you. It’s very convenient–thank you! Also, it’s great to see you contributing to Press Play–your recent article on average shot length was very informative. And, if I may ask, do you have any long-form analyses of individual films à la Inception and Drive in the works? Or any video essays?

Thank you, Joshua! I recorded a commentary track on Drive and made a short video analyzing the opening scenes of Inception, both of which are linked to in this post. I also have a short video analysis of a sequence from Drive in the works, as well as analyses of sections of Primer and The Rocketeer. Beyond that, I’m considering writing a book on contemporary geek cinema. Cheers, Adam
