You probably know that Yuriy Tarnawsky is one of my favorite contemporary writers. Well, on Saturday, 17 September, at 7pm, there will be a reading to celebrate the publication of his new book, Short Tails, at the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art (2320 W. Chicago Ave. Chicago, IL 60622) (Ukrainian Village).

Also reading will be Jeremy M. Davies, Eckhard Gerdes, Jim Hugunin, Davis Schneiderman, and myself. Refreshments will be served.

Click here for more information about Short Tails (Civil Coping Mechanisms, 2011), and here for my review of Yuriy’s last book, Like Blood in Water (FC2 2007). And you might also want to check out a long interview I conducted with Yuriy earlier this year: Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3

Hope to see you there!
